"Emma" The Story

Emma is the first model I designed in the far 2012. It was actually born in the summer of 2011, a very hot summer, when whatever I was wearing was bothering, so I thought of making a series of "sleeveless shirts" for myself to wear over pants that would let the air pass but that would give the impression of being dressed and not half-naked like any top.
The first ones I realized and began to wear, attracted a lot of attention, so much so that I was often stopped on the street by strangers who asked me where I had bought what I was wearing....
Thus the idea to start marketing them, within the next year I decided, on the advice and considerable pressure of my husband, to found my brand.
Contacted all the acquaintances around the world, a friend who has a small and nice shop in Los Angeles, all Made in Italy, asked me to design some Emma to wear by the pool or on the beach, it was 2012. From that moment on, every collection will have an Emma.

Emma goes overseas: the beach suit. Emma matching a mini skirt. These were the years of the innovative embossed technical fabrics, in the case of the garment that had the honour of parading in Los Angeles. The technical fabric emobossed "snake scale pattern" of a yellow lined with forest green silk.

Basic, made with coconut or hemp fibre fabric, ties and a discreet shantung disc on one side. This version remained in the "ECO" line.

My daughter Giulia starts to grow up and one day she asks me if she can have an Emma too. That said, the Emma Kid in both, shirt and dress. Realized with natural but glamorous fabrics, like linen fiber or Sangallo cotton. Kid’s shops are fascinated by them.
Now the Basic and the Beach are joined by the Kid collection.

In January we received a request from a Miami’s boutique, which had seen my Emma's in Los Angeles. Again the fabrics had to be super technical and avant-garde. So I took advantage of a wonderful double layer neoprene with contrasting colors and an external layer of cotton micro-netting. In addition to the suit with a skirt, I also inserted the shorts. Closure, instead of laces, a pin in the same fabric in the shape of a butterfly.

Gorgeus fabric silk shantung black or deep blue.

Emma dresses herself in important plumetis tulle collars doubled with gold or silver lurex. Closure with Butterfly brooch.

Emma tunic in Dupion Silk with kimono silk fabric obi. The idea came to me when I was planning a trip to Japan.

Emma became also a dress. Dupion silk and silk taffetas collar. the soft nappa leather belt defines the waistline.

Emma gets feisty with contrasting sides and matching belt. A very interesting cotton and silk fiber fabric with pixel flower print.

Emma becomes shirt 3/4 sleeves, perfect as work suit. Egyptian long fiber cotton in sea blue.
